Only two and a half months until the Runners and Brooks Thompson hit the convo floor. The 2010-2011 team is the tallest and biggest team that Brooks Thompson had had in his tenure at UTSA and it's also the youngest. Brooks and his staff will welcome eight new signees and six of who are true freshman and will be expected to contribute immediately.

The home non-conference schedule is highlighted by two good opponents. San Jose State of the WAC will pay a visit in late November and Sun Belt Runner up Troy, will face the Runners right before Thanksgiving. The non-conference road schedule will be highlighted by two road games at Oklahoma State and Houston, both of which were NCAA tournament teams last season. The Runners will also face a Tulsa team that recieved an NIT berth last year and finished with twenty three wins in Conference USA. Brooks and company will make a trip to the west coast in early December and will face UC-Riveside and the Pepperdine Waves. Also, a trip at the end of December to face MAC opponent Bowling Green.

Sidenote : The Runners will not be playing in any non-conference tournament this year and UTSA has also decided not to play a warm up game in the Alamodome. A warm up game is an option because UTSA will be hosting the NCAA men's regional, but UTSA has decided to keep all home games at the convo.
